In late 2011, a group of life sciences leaders formed an alliance to support the bio industry and create a cohesive life sciences community along the IH-35 corridor in Texas. This nonprofit organization, created in cooperation with the Texas Healthcare & Bioscience Institute (THBI), numerous life science and biotechnology incubators, as well as many associated businesses and institutions, aims to help emerging companies succeed, enable the life sciences industry to thrive, and keep businesses, jobs and talent in Texas.
The alliance represents communities and economic development organizations along the corridor, which
runs from San Antonio to the greater Dallas/Fort Worth area, and as far west as Abilene.
